A new report from Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies revealed that the current mortgage debacle has added to the number of households competing for low-cost rental properties, and concluded that policymakers at all levels of government should do more to protect affordable rentals. The Ohio Housing Finance Agency is attempting to do just that.

10th District panel upholds commission's determination in award of disability benefits
A Franklin County magistrate established evidence of a man's heart problems and his heightened pain levels was substantial enough for the Industrial Commission of Ohio to award him permanent disability benefits on behalf of the man's employer, a southwest Ohio metal-stamping facility.

Stimulus package would funnel grants through existing government bodies
Gov. Ted Strickland's $1. 57 billion economic stimulus package places the responsibility of distributing job creation grants with the Clean Ohio Fund, the Ohio Public Works Commission and the tech incubator Third Frontier Commission, according to companion bills introduced on Monday in the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives.

Little Bear homes at Lewis Center will be open this weekend
